Our Goals

  • To enhance the beauty and desirability of our central business district

  • To help educate the citizens about our community's deep heritage and history

  • To help build pride in our community

  • To build the tourism industry

The Process

Fundraising Committee:  Carries on a year round solicitation for financial support

Site Committee:  Determines where the murals should go

Art Committee:  Insures the quality of the painting meets the Sterling Mural Society's standards and approves the comprehensives the artists submit

History Committee:  Obtains pictures, drawings or ideas that will be put on the mural, ensuring they are historically correct. 

Public Relations Committee:  In charge of press releases and other ways to get the word out
